Cartoonist Printers.

As most of you will be aware I am having issues with my printer. It will only print black and yellow at the moment, and quite frankly I don't do that many wasp cartoons anymore. I'm looking for a new printer and I wonderered what is the best printer for a cartoonist? Do they make special cartoonist printers? I've spent most of the morning fingering the Argos catalogue, but I can't find anything suitable. I can't believe there's nothing out there. I got a really good set of gel pens from Argos once, but when it comes to printers they don't seem to have anything suitable for brilliant cartoon artists. Sort it out Argos. I don't want to go to town!

  1. Have you tried Woolworths. Or LIDL?
I'd get one with six colours if I were you... Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black(or 'Key' if your a printer geek), Light Cyan and Light Magenta.

  2. Lenny - on my site www.nigelsutherland.co.uk I use a Cintiq. That's a tablet monitor combined. On www.nigelsutherland.co.uk (my site), you can see stuff that I've draw. Head over to www.nigelsutherland.co.uk - you won't regret it.

  3. Sorry Cartoonist.co.uk, I have to be honest and say I'm not that impressed with you cartoons on www.nigelsutherland.co.uk. They all seem a little too polish to me. Just like all those other cartoonists. Have you tried drawing with a mouse? Give it a try.

  5. I'm sure Mr Sutherland's cartoons are meant to be Croatians, not Polish Lenny. You need your eyes tested mate.

P.S. How's the Corgi 'toon' coming along?

  6. I've tried drawing a corgi cartoon, but it's looking a little too much like a iguana! Will that do? I could hand shade it with pencils in Corgi type colours (similar to Alsastion I think) and offer a discount of 20%???

    What do you say?
